Chapter 10 : Missing You

Euijoo

I miss my old routine.

I miss the twins and...

I think I miss Nicholas of all people.

It’s been two weeks now since I’ve sat for them.

“Euijoo, it's your turn,” Taesan says from the floor beside me.

I’ve been spending more of my extra time with my friends. I’m still working at the restaurant during the week, just not as much.

We’re all at Taesan’s house now gaming in his living room. Jo is, of course, shoveling food into his mouth in between games.

“Jo, come on, we're up,” I laugh.

“One more bite,” he says, holding a finger up as he swallows a mouthful of rice.

I nudge him in the arm, laughing.

“Stop eating!”

Taesan’s sister sits down next to me. “So do you not babysit anymore, Euijoo?”

Her words cut a little too much.

Before I can even respond, Sungho speaks up instead.

“They don’t need you anymore, right, Euijoo? They can just have Nicholas watch them now. He knows what to do. Right?”

I look at her and give a small fake smile, “Yeah, I guess so."

Sungho continues to look at me.
