I’m back standing in front of Nicholas' door. I haven't seen him since I left early this morning. I just got back from work—my usual Saturday shift. I debated just staying home, but that argument with myself lasted all of thirty seconds, as I already knew that was just impossible for me.

He’s an addiction now.

Am I being a shamless asshole coming back over here?

Yes.

Definitely.

Last night was a mistake on my part. It wasn’t my intention for any of that to happen when I had gone over.

All the feelings running through me at the time kinda took over, and horny Euijoo came out.

I would’ve let him kiss me if I were brave enough. I rub the spot where Nichol bit my shoulder. However, rather than being ashamed, my heart is fluttering.

I decide not to text—I'm too afraid of how he’ll respond. I let myself in again and go to his room. I don’t think I'd be able to deal with it if he told me not to come.

He’s lying in bed, still awake, staring down at his phone. I catch a glimpse of it before he notices me and quickly turns it off. I internally smile to myself when I see he was staring at our text history—like he was waiting for the text I was too afraid to send.

“Oh, you're here?” he tries to sound casual. “I didn’t know when you were getting off work tonight.”

He asks that instead of "I didn’t think you were coming" or “Why are you here?”

I’m still cautious regardless as I climb into bed beside him. Nicholas, being Nicholas, never does what I expect.

After setting his phone down on the nightstand, he rolls back over to face me, gathering me in his arms. He kisses the top of my head, bringing me in tighter. “Baby, I’m sorry,” he mumbles into my hair.

The pet name coming out of his mouth so casually makes me pause in surprise. For some reason it pains me even more.

“You don’t need to say sorry, Nichol. It was my fault. I’m the one who’s sorry.”

“Well, then let’s both be sorry.” He looks down at me. “I don’t want to fight. Okay.”

I wrap my arms around him, hugging him back. “Me either.” Relief floods through me, and I’m finally able to relax. “Did you miss me?”
